CT CHIEFS INDOOR FOOTBALL TRYOUTS

The Ct Chiefs Arena football team got off to a great start last night by signing 20 of the areas top athletes at their first open tryout for the 2017 season. "We were very pleased with the overall interest our tryout brought in" said owner John Mancinelli, "what we didn't expect was the high level of talent that came through the door".
The Chiefs are the first indoor arena team based out of Connecticut in over 15 years. A participate in the very competitive Can-Am Indoor Football League, the Chiefs will compete against top programs including the Vermont Bucks and the New Hampshire Brigade. "This season we are a showcase team" said Mancinelli, "we're providing a venue for our players to show off their ability in a professional league".
The signing was headlined by 6'4 305 pound Jamaal Alleyne. A standout tackle at American International College, Alleyne will be called on to solidify the offensive line. "Any good teams has to start with a strong offensive line" said Head Coach Carl Bond, "we got better today by signing Jamaal".
The Chiefs will offer a second tryout in January for interested players. "Our goal is to bring in another great group of athletes in January. We plan to start our training camp in February and open the season in mid-March", said Bond, "with the talent we are bringing in we feel confident that we can compete for a playoff spot in 2017".
